BOMB, a multi-media publishing house that creates, disseminates, and preserves artist-generated content from interviews to artists’ essays to new literature, has published a brilliant review of Nina Menkes’s film QUEEN OF DIAMONDS, written by art historian Catherine Damman.

Damman’s insightful analysis follows the ‘wraithlike protagonist’ Firdaus, who is powerfully portrayed by Tinka Menkes.

A stunning 4K restoration of QUEEN OF DIAMONDS was created in 2019 by The Academy Film Archive and The Film Foundation, with funding provided by the George Lucas Family Foundation.
